Babor wrinkle filler reviewed
Wrinkle fillers took a big step forward with the launch of Babor’s revolutionary wrinkle filler based on freeze dried hyaluronic acid.
Babor claim that their product offers a real alternative to injectable fillers or even to cosmetic surgery. We take a look at the product and some alternative topical wrinkle fillers for you to consider.
Hyaluronic acid or collagen is naturally present in your skin and has the capacity to hold over 200 times its own weight in water.
It’s this moisture giving ability that was responsible for much of the plumpness and softness of your skin in your teens and twenties.
The qualities of hyaluronic acid as an active ingredient are well known – you’ll probably find it on the label of your anti aging cream – precisely because of this amazing ability to deliver moisture to the skin’s surface. The difference with Babor’s wrinkle filler is the way in which the hyaluronic acid gets to your skin.
Wrinkle fillers in the past attempted to fill wrinkles from the top of the skin’s surface – a bit like plaster fills cracks!
Some of them also had light reflecting particles to fool the eye so the wrinkle appeared to disappear. If you’ve tried any of these you may have had mixed results with the creams leaving a white film on the surface or not blending with make up or other creams – particularly around the eyes.
“The effect…is incredible. The filler takes effect after about an hour and lasts all day, due to the network-like structure that is formed on the uppermost layer of the skin—smoothing out wrinkles.”
Dr. Paul Cain, CEO, BABOR Cosmetics USA
What’s new with this product is that Babor have freeze dried the hyaluronic acid molecules shrinking them to a third their natural size.
In this tiny form the hyaluronic acid spheres can reach the deepest layers of the skin. Once in contact with moisture and warmth, the tiny spheres swell to normal size and expand the tissue beneath the wrinkle – literally pushing the wrinkle out and smoothing the skin. Magic!
The product has been rigorously tested in Babor’s state of the art research labs in Germany and tests show that it is not only safe but highly effective.
Babor claim that their wrinkle filler – used daily – will actually stimulate and strengthen the collagen structure in the skin. For good measure they have added high levels of polysaccharides, amino acids and vitamins, to protect your skin against further damage.
Not only that but since it has a very smooth texture and sinks in rapidly – it should work very well with any make up or moisturizer you put on top. But there are other contenders for most effective wrinkle filler – and one in particular you should take a look at.
I love this product! I cannot believe how well a small drop of this product erases the smile lines around my mouth and my chin. I used it for just a few days when I noticed a major improvement. This is a product I will always have on hand
Customer Review of TNS Line Refine at Dermstore
If you want to look at an alternative to Babor then look at a product from Skin Medica’s fantastic TNS Recovery Complex system.
Skin Medica TNS Line Refine is a powerful combination of moisturizing agents like shea butter and high level peptides for anti wrinkle effect. The product comes with a special applicator to help you apply it properly and fill the fine lines around your nose and mouth. The applicator also preserves the active ingredients in the wrinkle filler. Skin Medica claim that – like the Babor product – Line Refine will give you an instant anti wrinkle effect and will improve lines and wrinkles in the longer term. Fantastic reviews on Dermstore.
Whether Babor’s Wrinkle Filler or the Skin Medica equivalent really do offer a cosmetic alternative to injectable fillers you would have to judge for yourself. If they do then this is a product we could all do with in the makeup drawer!

Loved visiting your site. Thanks for all the research.
I am considering a Lifestyle Lift as I have yet to find a solution for sagging neck skin under the neck.
If you have information on alternatives for sagging necks I would much appreciate it.

Hi Nicole,
Take a look at the non-surgical facelift section of this site for information about more radical procedures for face and neck. It’s a problem area for many women – the skin on our necks is much thinner and more prone to sagging and crepiness. I’m currently researching an article with some topical product recommendations – your comment prodded me into action!

I LOVE your website. It’s great to buy a product that has great feedback. I have noticed the area under my eyes/ on top of cheeks to have sunken in a little. Sort of like deflated. what do you suggest. THANKS
