LiftFusion - the first true botox alternative?
As a botox alternative LiftFusion makes very strong claims to deliver younger loooking skin in minutes.
The makers of the celebrity A-listers favorite lip-plumper - Fusion Beauty - have produced what they call the first 'topical injectible'. Something of a contradiction in terms if you ask me but we get the idea.
The aim is to offer a real alternative to botox plus restylane which is the path followed by many seeking younger looking skin. Like botox injections - LiftFusion deals with facial wrinkles caused by movement - expression lines as our mother's used to call them.
Fusion Beauty have patented something they call M-Tox which is carried within nanospheres so it can penetrate the outer layer of the skin. M-tox is 'a proprietary blend of anti-wrinkle ingredients and muscle inhibitors' which absorp on contact with the skin to fill and smooth your wrinkles in a matter of minutes.
Although it's not totally clear from the blurb - the technology seems to be based on hyaluronic acid spheres (just like the Babor Wrinkle Filler) combined with a muscle relaxant similar to Freeze 24/7.
LiftFusion also contains proteins to boost the skin's collagen structure over the longer term. Fusion Beauty promise the product will do the following (the words are lifted from the product information page):
- transform the skin's appearance into firm, smooth, virtually wrinkle-free skin
- smooth even deep wrinkles
- soften vertical and horizontal forehead furrows, frown lines, crow's feet and nasolabial lines
- dramatically transform skin tone and texture
And all without the discomfort and inconvenience of botox injections and restylane. The serum should be applied am and pm for best results and should be applied under make up or moisturizer.
At SkinStore I spotted three ecstatic reviews and three critical ones. The only real way to see if it works is to try it. As it promises results very quickly you will be able to tell if it works within the 30 day return period and you can just send it back if it doesn't do what it says.
It carries a hefty $140 price tag. But if it does deliver younger looking skin as promised - even on a temporary basis - then this could be a true botox alternative and worth every cent!

I tried LiftFusion, the eye cream and the regular $140 bottle and I was less than impressed with the results. The price tag is not worth what little it does. Yes, some results are seen, without a doubt, but all it tends to do is give your skin a smoother look, which is very temporary, it has no cumulative and really beneficial effects to really target the aging process. It's a temporary quick fix, and there are MANY cheaper alternatives.
All in all, stay away from the entire Lift Fusion line, because it's overpriced and mediocre at best.
Those who are happy with this product obviously haven't tried other lines.

Another good Botox alternative is Azure Cosmeceuticals HydroPeptide face creme. For those not wanting the injections associated with most Botox treatments, this is a pain free and also less expensive alternate choice. I have been using the face creme now for a while and love the way it makes my face feel and look. I love the results.

Lucas - thanks for your comment. It's really important to get first hand user feedback on anti aging skincare products like this that promise miracles. As they say - if it sounds too good to be true - it usually is!

Stacey - I don't know this cream but peptides are a big ingredient in many anti aging creams currently - especially those claiming to be botox alternatives. It's good to get first hand recommendations for specific products!

The articles for anti-aging are helpful with the comments of those who actually have used the p[roducts. In some women, I have observed that after a botox treatment, the facial expression has changed like the eyebrows have significantly risen giving that surprise look. How can this be avoided?
thank you

Patricia - I know botox can leave the face looking immobile and expressionless although I haven't observed the surprised look you mention. Could this be due to over done cosmetic surgery like eyelid lifting rather than botox? Botox injections actually relax muscles rather than tighten them so I'm noit sure if they could produce this effect. In any event the way to avoid this if you want to go the botox route is to find a highly experienced qualified plastic surgeon to administer the botox injections - with skill and experience the results should be good.
